A driver from a ride-sharing application was charged with having kidnapped a minor in the province of Santa Fe. Prosecutor María Laura Martín attributed to the individual the authorship of unlawful deprivation of liberty in a hearing held before the investigating judge of Preliminary Criminal Investigation, Sergio Carraro. According to the file, the teenager requested a ride from her home to her school through the application, with the driver in question assigned to make the transfer in a gray Nissan Versa.
During the journey, Prosecutor Martín indicated that the driver deviated from the original route several times, instilling fear in the victim as she recognized places off the expected route. The teenager tried to get out of the vehicle upon realizing the situation, but the driver did not allow her to do so. The prosecutor highlighted that the identification of the aggressor was possible thanks to the data recorded in the application.
The man, 60 years old and whose initials are M.R.L., was arrested on May 1 and the hearing to discuss precautionary measures is expected to take place next Friday. Prosecutor Martín plans to request the preventive detention of the accused.
